lyrics
Get in my car
Lets drive to nowhere
We’ve done this before
And I had this coming
Carried away
By the sound of your voice
But I know now
It's a state of mind
In this town called nothing
In this town called nothing
We carried on down
To the side of this mountain
We couldn’t be sure
We would get to where we were going
I saw many signs
On the way
And in my mind
I tried to escape
But you kept on coming
To this town called nothing
To this town called nothing
To this town called nothing
To this town called nothing
In this town called nothing
Gonna keep the motor running
In this town called nothing
In this town called nothing
Get in my car let's drive to nowhere

I picked this one up in advance of a holiday trip. In these times I always need some softer music for my companion which rocks only a little. But "Ghosts on Tape" even rocks a bit more. The album has still edges and corners, it sounds modern and timeless the same time, it is varied, often catchy and dynamic. Even for me as a metalhead BLOOD RED SHOES is a band which transports enough energy and ideas with its electro indie rock to stay sustainably interesting. Check "Sucker". H.L.
