lyrics
You wouldn’t stay
I like you anyway
If we pretend
You’ll understand me then
Don’t lie to me
I’m not that kind you’ll see
Don’t worry
I’ll be leaving silently
I will never be the girl you knew before
I will never be the one whom you adore
I like your frown
Even when it brings bad news
In your small town
You say it feels the blues
Easily confused
Well I think I get it now
Won't make you choose
I guess I’ll sit back down
I will never be the girl you knew before
I will never be the one whom you adore
Giving is too easy
When there's nothing more
I will never be the one you’re looking for
I will never be the girl you knew before
I will never be the one whom you adore
Giving is too easy
When there's nothing more
I will never be the one you’re looking for
Ahhhhhhh
I’ll disappear I think it's best that way
To be alone
I’ll make it better on my own

I picked this one up in advance of a holiday trip. In these times I always need some softer music for my companion which rocks only a little. But "Ghosts on Tape" even rocks a bit more. The album has still edges and corners, it sounds modern and timeless the same time, it is varied, often catchy and dynamic. Even for me as a metalhead BLOOD RED SHOES is a band which transports enough energy and ideas with its electro indie rock to stay sustainably interesting. Check "Sucker". H.L.
